Chelsea Green is finding that being a WWE Superstar can sometimes be a double-edged sword in Hollywood.
Appearing on SiriusXM to promote season two of WWE Unreal on Netflix, Green opened up about the casting process. She noted that while casting directors want actors with social media followings, they often hold biases against the “wrestler” look.
“Hollywood wants people with followers, but then they don’t want wrestlers,” Green explained. “I will shut it down and that’s why I took off all my nails. I don’t have fake eyelashes… I look like Joe Schmo.”
Green also pitched a spinoff for WWE Unreal, suggesting a version focused entirely on the women’s locker room.
“It would be interesting because I think 99.9% of us really get along… So it would be interesting to see who actually doesn’t like me,” she joked.
