The Street Profits, Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins, have been missing from WWE programming in recent weeks, leading to speculation about their health and status with the company. The duo, who turned heel at the 2025 Royal Rumble and enjoyed a dominant run as Tag Team Champions last spring, haven’t been seen since their storyline momentum stalled. However, a new report confirms that their absence is entirely creative, not medical.
Dave Meltzer reported that both Ford and Dawkins are healthy and ready to go, but management made the call to pull them from television to reset their characters.
“Neither of the Street Profits are hurt. The decision was just made to take them off TV to allow them to freshen up.”
The team is coming off a rollercoaster year that saw them defeat #DIY for the titles in March, only to lose them to The Wyatt Sicks in a TLC match in July. Since dropping the gold, their direction has been somewhat aimless. This hiatus offers a chance for a hard reset. Whether they return with their “party” babyface persona or double down on a more vicious heel attitude remains to be seen. With the tag team division on SmackDown currently dominated by The Bloodline and new challengers like The Rascalz potentially entering the mix, a repackaged Street Profits could add much-needed depth to the title picture upon their return.
