Since suffering a career-altering neck injury in March 2022, Big E has successfully pivoted from being a powerhouse in the ring to a charismatic voice on the microphone. While fans still miss seeing the New Day member hitting the Big Ending, the former WWE Champion has embraced his new reality as a media personality and analyst. During a recent appearance at Super Bowl Radio Row, Big E opened up about this unexpected chapter of his life.
Big E: “It Has Helped Prepare Me For Other Roles”
Speaking on Compas on the Beat, Big E expressed genuine happiness with his current position. “It has been good, it’s something I really enjoy. It’s something I didn’t think I necessarily was going to do when my career was over, but it has been a blast, man,” he shared. The role allows him to remain an integral part of the WWE family while developing a new skillset.
“I get to be a part of what we’re doing in WWE, and do it in a different way. I’ve really enjoyed being a part of helping people be more informed about what they’re about to see, or what they just saw,” Big E explained. He noted that the experience is laying the groundwork for a broader future in broadcasting, something he hadn’t considered when he was an active wrestler. “Not something I had on my radar when my career was wrapping up, but I’m really enjoying it.”
