The road to WrestleMania 42 heated up on Friday night as WWE SmackDown hosted the first qualifying matches for the upcoming Elimination Chamber event in Chicago. In the women’s division, Tiffany Stratton became the first superstar to secure her spot inside the structure. Stratton defeated Lash Legend and Chelsea Green in a triple threat match, sealing the victory by reversing Green’s Unpretty-Her into the Prettiest Moonsault Ever.
Orton Counters Solo Sikoa To Qualify
In the main event, Randy Orton punched his ticket to Chicago by defeating Aleister Black and Solo Sikoa. Notably, Sikoa spent the pre-match searching for the MFTs, who were nowhere to be found, leaving the Bloodline enforcer isolated. The finish saw Sikoa attempt the Samoan Spike, only for “The Viper” to counter instantly with an RKO for the win.
Qualifying action continues this Monday on Raw, with Rhea Ripley set to compete. Next week’s SmackDown will feature a massive triple threat qualifier between Cody Rhodes, Sami Zayn, and Jacob Fatu, as well as a women’s qualifier featuring Alexa Bliss, Zelina, and Giulia. The winner of the men’s Chamber match will challenge Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 42, while Royal Rumble winner Liv Morgan has yet to declare her target.
