Is Bron Breakker’s WrestleMania moment in jeopardy after a shocking injury has forced the powerhouse onto the operating table? The road to Las Vegas has hit a significant speed bump for one of WWE‘s fastest-rising stars. Following a chaotic segment on the February 2 episode of Raw, Bron Breakker has been officially sidelined with a legitimate injury. According to a report from Dave Meltzer, the former NXT Champion sustained a “serious hernia” that required surgery, putting his immediate future in doubt.
The injury reportedly took place during Breakker’s rampage on Raw, specifically when he flipped over the announce table at ringside. Despite the severity of the issue, Breakker finished the segment, a feat that reportedly earned him high praise backstage. According to Fightful Select, Breakker was “complimented” by a source for working through the pain to complete the angle before seeking medical attention. The incident has halted his momentum just as the company begins its final push toward the biggest event of the year.
Breakker has already undergone surgery to repair the hernia, and while he is expected to miss a number of weeks, there is hope within the company regarding his status for April. Fightful Select reported today that while they haven’t heard a definitive update, sources in WWE remain “optimistic” that Breakker can return in time for the show. The timeline is tight but plausible; hernia surgeries typically require a recovery window of four to six weeks. With WrestleMania still over a month away, Breakker has a fighting chance to make the card, provided there are no setbacks in his rehabilitation.
This situation creates a complex puzzle for WWE creative, as Breakker is reportedly slated for a major match against Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 42. Rollins himself is currently recovering from a torn rotator cuff, making this potential showdown a race against the clock for both competitors. If Breakker cannot return in time, it may alleviate the pressure on Rollins to rush his own recovery, potentially altering the card for the two-night event at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on April 18 and 19.
