New Chelsea Green Update Is Not Good

The situation regarding Chelsea Green’s injury has taken a turn for the worse. After missing her scheduled championship defense at AAA on FOX over the weekend, the “Hot Mess” has provided a grim update on her condition. Taking to social media, Green revealed that she has suffered a broken ankle, a diagnosis that will undoubtedly keep her out of action for the foreseeable future.

Green: “I Broke My Ankle”

The injury occurred during her last in-ring appearance on the February 6 episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown, where she competed in a physical Triple Threat Elimination Chamber qualifying match. The fallout was immediate, as Green was advertised to defend her AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship the very next night alongside NXT North American Champion Ethan Page.

Before the match could take place on Saturday, a camera shot backstage showed Page frantically FaceTiming his partner. Green appeared on screen wearing a walking boot, breaking the news that she would not be able to make the event. While initial reports and internal speculation suggested it might be a severe sprain, Green’s own social media update explicitly stated that the bone is broken, confirming the severity of the setback during the busiest time of the wrestling year.

Titles Change Hands in Mexico

With Green incapacitated, the scheduled title defense against Lola Vice and Mr. Iguana went ahead with a major alteration. La Hiedra stepped in to replace Green, teaming with Ethan Page in an attempt to save their reign. However, the last-minute substitution proved fatal for the champions. Page and La Hiedra were defeated by the duo of Vice and Iguana, ending Green’s title reign while she watched from home with a broken ankle.
