The field for the Women’s Elimination Chamber match has gained a dangerous new entrant. As the first hour of Monday Night Raw concluded on February 16, a high-stakes Triple Threat match took place to determine who would join the fight for a world championship opportunity at WrestleMania 42. The bout featured Asuka, Bayley, and Natalya, three of the most decorated veterans in the history of the women’s division.
In a hard-hitting contest, “The Empress of Tomorrow” emerged victorious. The finish saw Asuka trap Bayley in her signature Asuka Lock submission, forcing the former Damage CTRL leader to tap out. The victory secures Asuka’s spot in the Chamber match, inching her closer to another potential title reign. She joins a star-studded lineup that already includes former champion Rhea Ripley, the rising star Tiffany Stratton, and Alexa Bliss. With Asuka’s inclusion, the match now features four confirmed competitors, leaving only two spots remaining to be filled in the coming weeks.
The stakes for the match in Chicago are incredibly high, as the winner will earn a guaranteed shot at a world title in Las Vegas. Asuka’s momentum comes at a critical time, as she looks to re-establish her dominance at the top of the card.
The Elimination Chamber premium live event is scheduled for Saturday, February 28, at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois. In addition to the women’s chamber match, the card features a Men’s Elimination Chamber match for a shot at the WWE Championship, as well as a blockbuster main event seeing CM Punk challenge Finn Balor for the World Heavyweight Championship in Punk’s hometown.
