Seth Rollins Claims He Is Not A “Promo Guy” During GQ Quiz

Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch recently sat down for an episode of GQ’s “The Couples Quiz,” where the power couple tested their knowledge of one another. During the segment, the conversation turned to their professional careers, leading to a surprising admission from the former World Heavyweight Champion regarding his microphone skills. When asking Lynch to name his favorite promo of all time, Rollins revealed that the query was actually a “trick question.”

Despite being known for his lengthy monologues and character work as “The Visionary” and “The Messiah,” Rollins stated that he does not view himself as a verbal performer. “Trick question, I don’t have one. I was never a promo guy, I was always a big match guy,” Rollins explained. This perspective contrasts with his on-screen persona, which has often relied heavily on verbal sparring to build feuds. However, Rollins insists that his true value has always been his ability to deliver between the ropes rather than on the microphone.

The segment offered a lighthearted look at the couple’s dynamic, but it comes at a time when Rollins’ in-ring future is the subject of intense speculation. His self-assessment as a “big match guy” aligns with his reputation for stealing the show at major events, a trait WWE is desperately hoping to utilize in Las Vegas.

Rollins has been sidelined since September 2025 following a shoulder injury and subsequent surgery. However, recent reports indicate that he is closing in on a return. Photos have surfaced of Rollins training in the gym, showing him using his arms without visible discomfort. With WrestleMania 42 just nine weeks away, the timing suggests he could be cleared for a major spot on the card, potentially involving the mystery attacker storyline surrounding his former faction, The Vision.
