AEW
Tensions in the AEW women’s division remain high, even between stars who aren’t currently feuding. In a recent interview with Fanatics View, Toni Storm took a surprisingly harsh shot at Mercedes Moné. “Ah, Mercedes, very good… You know she’s a real piece of work that one. She’s a real piece of sh**, but that in a way, I kinda respect that,” Storm remarked. Moné has not appeared on AEW television since losing her TBS Title to Willow Nightingale on December 31, 2025.
Meanwhile, Saraya (formerly Paige) is looking ahead to potential storylines, specifically regarding tag team partners. Speaking on the Muscle Memory podcast, she named AJ Lee and Rhea Ripley as her dream partners. “AJ, baby, of course. And if I couldn’t have my girl, AJ… I would pick Rhea Ripley. Sorry, IYO, I might steal her off you,” she joked. Saraya also addressed the fan reaction to her absence from the 2026 Royal Rumble, admitting she cried over the outpouring of support. “I thought I had lost all that support because of like all my controversy. But it was just absolutely bonkers,” she said, noting that viral training videos of her reached 18 million views.
Saraya’s mention of AJ Lee is particularly timely, as Lee is currently scheduled to challenge Becky Lynch for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship at Elimination Chamber later this month. With Saraya currently a free agent after her AEW deal expired, the wrestling world is watching closely to see if she will intervene in that match to reunite with her “fairy godmother.”
