WWE is constantly restructuring its large media rights portfolio to maximize viewership and revenue. A significant change is coming to the streaming landscape for the developmental brand very soon. WWE NXT content is officially set to leave the Peacock streaming platform in the near future.
Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer Radio reported the news during a recent broadcast. He noted that all WWE NXT content will leave Peacock on March 15, 2026. The entire developmental library will completely come off the NBCUniversal streaming service on that specific date.
This removal signals another major strategic move in the company’s overall media strategy. The sudden change arrives as NXT continues its ongoing transition to The CW Network. The promotion recently signed a lucrative five-year deal that made the channel the exclusive broadcast home of the developmental brand.
This streaming shift follows the large deal that the company executed last year. That specific agreement moved the main roster pay-per-view events from Peacock to ESPN. The transition officially started with Wrestlepalooza, completely changing how domestic fans consume the premium live events.
Peacock subsequently retained only select television specials, such as Saturday Night’s Main Event. NXT has already successfully moved its weekly television broadcast from the USA Network to The CW Network. Now, its extensive streaming library appears set to follow a similar path.
Although the content is leaving Peacock, there is no confirmed destination yet for the full back catalog. At this point, it is totally unclear whether older episodes will roll out on The CW’s own digital platforms. The company may also choose to keep the footage within its own proprietary ecosystems.
There is also a strong possibility that the content could expand further on free outlets like the WWE Vault channel on YouTube. The promotion has been actively uploading classic matches to YouTube to generate additional digital revenue. Fans will have to wait for an official announcement regarding the permanent home of the archived footage.
The developmental roster is currently preparing for their biggest showcase of the entire year. The NXT Stand & Deliver premium live event will take place during the highly expected WrestleMania 42 weekend in April. Meanwhile, the company recently announced a major schedule change for the grandest stage of them all, confirming that WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas will now feature an earlier start time of 2:30 PM Pacific Time.
This early start time will allow the promotion to comfortably fit all the scheduled matches onto the card without rushing the performers.
