The match card for the upcoming developmental premium live event is officially getting much more physical. A high-stakes match and a dangerous new stipulation have been added to NXT Vengeance Day. The broadcast is scheduled for Saturday, March 7, at the WWE Performance Center.
Jaida Parker and Blake Monroe’s face-to-face ended in a very heated confrontation on the latest episode of television. Parker managed to stand tall after a brief scuffle inside the squared circle. Later in the show, Monroe emerged by the announcer’s table to deliver a message to her rival.
Monroe admitted that Parker had pushed her to her absolute limit during their previous encounters. She boldly stated that their conflict would finally end at Vengeance Day in a Street Fight. This stipulation ensures that there will be no countouts or disqualifications to stop the violence.
The two have been feuding since last month, with their first match ending in a double countout results. During that initial encounter, Monroe managed to injure Parker’s neck, sending her to the sidelines. On last week’s NXT, Parker returned and attacked Monroe, costing her a Speed tournament match against Thea Hail.
Throughout Tuesday’s show, the DarkState faction looked to go after Tony D’Angelo. D’Angelo previously cost them the NXT Tag Team titles, sparking a deeply personal rivalry. He finally confronted Dion Lennox in the crowd, telling him that the hunter has officially become the hunted.
D’Angelo blamed Lennox for his significant downfall last year during a difficult professional period. He claimed that while the old version of him might have been killed off, he has returned as a much more dangerous person. D’Angelo then challenged his rival to a match at Vengeance Day.
He stated that beating Lennox would allow him to complete one of the two major goals he has set for himself. This singles encounter adds even more depth to an already stacked lineup. The developmental roster is clearly ready to deliver a memorable night of action for the WWE fans.
The women’s championship picture also saw a major development following a chaotic interference. Sol Ruca came out and interrupted the title match between Zaria and Jacy Jayne. Robert Stone stated that he would have a final decision about the NXT Women’s Championship at the premium live event.
Ruca laid out both women with her signature Sol Snatcher maneuver, leading to no official winner in their championship match. The current lineup for Vengeance Day also features Joe Hendry defending the NXT Championship against Ricky Saints. Additionally, Izzi Dame will defend the Women’s North American title against Tatum Paxley in a highly anticipated bout.
