New Tag Team Contenders Crowned

The championship landscape for the tag team divisions has been officially clarified following a series of high-stakes matches on Friday Night SmackDown. The number one contenders for both the WWE and Women’s Tag Team titles were determined in front of a capacity crowd. Management is focused on building a strong card for the upcoming spring season.

After Giulia & Kiana James and the team of Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair both confronted the new champions, Nick Aldis took action. He made an impromptu number one contender’s match between the two teams to decide who would face The Irresistible Forces. Flair and Bliss eventually emerged victorious after Charlotte hit the Natural Selection on Giulia.

The “Twisted Queens” have now secured the next shot against the dominant Nia Jax and Lash Legend. The Irresistible Forces previously defeated Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY on the February 27 episode of SmackDown to win the titles for the first time. During their backstage celebration this week, they announced that a much larger party is being planned for the roster.

For the men’s division, Damian Priest and R-Truth emerged as the new number one contenders for the tag team titles. They managed to outlast several other teams to win a grueling Tag Team Turmoil match. The Motor City Machine Guns were the first team eliminated by Fraxiom, who were then quickly dispatched by Los Garza.

The Wyatt Sicks were the next team to enter the fray, but they shockingly lost after Tama Tonga interrupted the match. This allowed Berto to score a quick roll-up victory over Dexter Lumis while the referee was distracted. Finally, Priest and Truth entered the match and scored a definitive victory over Los Garza to secure their title opportunity.

They have now earned a future championship match against the MFTs, Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa. R-Truth continues to be a fan favorite, and his partnership with the former World Heavyweight Champion has proven to be a formidable duo. The WWE fans are eager to see if they can finally end the dominant reign of the Bloodline’s tag team representatives.

These championship matches are expected to take place in the coming weeks as the Road to WrestleMania 42 continues. The stadium event at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas will serve as the ultimate proving ground for these new contenders. The tag team ranks have never been more competitive as the roster fights for a prominent spot on the grandest stage of them all this April.
