The roster for All Elite Wrestling continues to expand with the addition of a highly athletic young talent. Following the conclusion of AEW Collision on Saturday night in Tucson, Arizona, it was confirmed that Blake Christian is officially All Elite. The announcement arrived shortly after he participated in a high-stakes championship environment.
AEW President Tony Khan took to social media to share the news with the fans following the broadcast. Christian and his tag team partner, Lee Johnson, had just competed in a $200,000 four-way tag team match. While they were unsuccessful in securing the massive cash prize, their performance was enough to finalize Christian’s status with the promotion.
“The Swirl, Vanilla Baby Blake Christian + @BigShottyLee, had another excellent showing on Saturday #AEWCollision tonight, and now it’s official: @_BlakeChristian is All Elite!” Khan wrote in his public update. The post was met with significant support from the wrestling community who have followed Christian’s journey through the independent ranks.
The other half of the duo known as The Swirl, Lee Johnson, previously received his official All Elite graphic back in February 2021. While Johnson has been a mainstay on the company’s roster page for years, Christian does not currently have a profile listed. It is expected that the website will be updated in the coming days to reflect his new full-time status.
In addition to their recent high-profile matches on Saturday night television, The Swirl has remained very active in Ring of Honor. During their time in ROH, they have aligned themselves with the veteran Jay Lethal, forming a formidable trio. This partnership has helped both young stars develop their characters in front of a dedicated audience.
Christian previously had a brief run in the Stamford-based organization under the name Trey Baxter in 2021. He was a featured part of the NXT brand before he was unfortunately released from his contract that November. He didn’t wait long to find a new home, making his AEW debut on an episode of Dark the following March.
Since his initial appearance, he has traveled the world to hone his “All Heart” style, competing in Japan and across the American independent circuit. His return to a major national platform comes at a pivotal time as the company prepares for the massive Revolution pay-per-view. The event is scheduled for March 15, 2026, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California.
While Christian is not currently booked for a match on the stadium card, his signing adds significant depth to the cruiserweight and tag team divisions. Management is reportedly eager to utilize his high-flying ability in several upcoming television programs throughout the spring. The fans in San Jose will likely see him in action this Wednesday as the road to Revolution reaches its final stop.
