The backstage drama surrounding a top producer and one of the division’s most entertaining stars has officially reached a peaceful conclusion. On a recent episode of “WWE Unreal,” legendary producer Michael Hayes commented on Chelsea Green’s role within the company. He suggested that her primary job was to elevate other stars like Charlotte Flair and Tiffany Stratton.
Green was publicly frustrated by the comments, noting that hearing a top official essentially put a ceiling on her potential was difficult to process. However, during a recent appearance on the “Nikki & Brie Show,” Green revealed that Hayes has reached out to make amends for his statement. The two have since spoken and cleared the air regarding her professional standing.
“Michael Hayes has apologized to me and we’ve spoken about it and everything,” Green shared with the hosts. While Hayes maintained during a separate interview with The Undertaker that he stood by the practical nature of his comments, he praised Green for being amazingly talented and entertaining for the WWE fans.
The Undertaker himself became a vocal supporter of the “Our President” character during the controversy. On his “Six Feet Under” podcast, the Hall of Famer stated that he believes Green is currently underutilized. He argued that she has the potential to be a top-tier star for the brand if given the right opportunities.
“I check my texts, and he’s texted that to me, too. He has doubled down, got my phone number and texted me to hype me up,” Green revealed. She shared a touching moment with her sister where she realized that a legend of his status truly believed in her work. “Hear(ing) Undertaker saying my name and sticking up for little ol’ me… he did not hesitate for a second.”
Green even noted that her connection with the Deadman dates back to when he reportedly booked her to win the Mixed AAA Tag Titles in a previous creative capacity. To show her appreciation for his support, she has officially appointed The Undertaker as the “Secretary of Dark Affairs” for her onscreen cabinet. She continues to lean into her administrative role while recovering from her legitimate ankle injury.
While she remains sidelined in a wheelchair, her television presence has never been stronger. She is targeting a potential return to the ring for WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The two-night event at Allegiant Stadium is scheduled for April 18 and 19, 2026. Until then, she remains focused on making “Our President” the most talked-about character on Friday Night SmackDown as the spring season continues.
