The Brutality of the women’s division is officially sharing a surprising connection with the current World Heavyweight Champion. Rhea Ripley and CM Punk share a well-documented love for tattoos and professional wrestling, but their bond almost went a step further during Ripley’s teenage years. The Australian superstar recently revealed that she nearly got a specific piece of ink as a direct homage to “The Best in the World.”
While appearing on Nina Drama’s latest Kick stream on March 9, 2026, Rhea Ripley spoke about a tattoo she almost commissioned that was inspired by Punk’s own iconic ink. Ripley admitted that as a young fan, she was desperate to emulate her favorite wrestler, even if the symbol didn’t entirely match her own lifestyle at the time.
“I wanted to, because I grew up obviously watching wrestling. Punk was one of my favorites. I wanted to get a Pepsi tattoo on my finger,” Ripley shared during the stream. “Yeah, because he’s got the big Pepsi tattoo, because he’s straight edge, and I was like, ‘I love CM Punk. I want a Pepsi tattoo.’ I didn’t even drink Pepsi back then.”
The “Pepsi Plunge” inspiration didn’t end up making it onto her skin, but Ripley has since filled her arms and legs with a diverse array of black-and-white artwork. Her aesthetic has become one of the most recognizable in WWE, much like Punk’s own heavily tattooed physique. Both stars have utilized their unique looks to stand out as counter-culture icons within the sports entertainment landscape.
