Brock Lesnar’s WrestleMania 42 opponent appears to have been revealed — and it’s the opponent WWE fans have been calling for. On Monday Night Raw, Oba Femi made a statement that left very little to the imagination, delivering a Fall From Grace powerbomb to Lesnar before standing on his chest and pointing directly at the WrestleMania 42 sign.
The segment began with Seth Rollins opening Raw following his attack on Paul Heyman last week. Rollins made clear his mission is to dismantle The Vision and everyone connected to Heyman. “It doesn’t matter if you’re on the shelf like Breakker and Reed, or if you’re a cling on peon like Austin Theory or Logan Paul — if you’re aligned with Paul Heyman, you are marked for death,” Rollins declared. Lesnar, also aligned with Heyman, came out to confront Rollins. After The Beast dispatched some of Rollins’ masked allies, the lights went out — and Femi made his entrance.
Femi vs. Lesnar Sets Up a Battle of Monsters at WrestleMania 42
The match-up presents a compelling question that will ultimately be answered in Las Vegas. Both Lesnar and Femi have been positioned as near-unstoppable forces — Lesnar as a decades-long monster attraction, and Femi as the dominant NXT force now making his presence felt on the main roster. WWE fans have been vocal in their desire to see Femi get this opportunity, and tonight’s Raw delivered exactly that setup.
The critical piece of the puzzle is the result. For Femi to truly arrive as a main roster force, the prevailing sentiment is that he needs to go over Lesnar at WrestleMania — a win that would immediately establish him as one of the most dangerous performers in WWE. How WWE handles that dynamic will define what comes next for both men.
