Kevin Nash says the online criticism directed at Jade Cargill stems from fans getting a look at her life outside of professional wrestling.
Speaking on Kliq This, Nash was asked by a fan why Cargill appears to attract negativity online. Nash pointed to her social media presence as the root of the issue. “I think people started following her on social media, and they saw who her husband was, and they see how she lives like without wrestling, and like, she says she’s just here for a minute,” Nash said. “So it’s just like, I think there’s heat there.”
Nash also spoke about his first in-person encounter with Cargill, noting that her physical presence exceeded his expectations. “The first time I saw that girl, when I saw her in person, I was just like, holy f**k,” Nash said. “Because she’s much bigger than you think she’s gonna be. She’s like five ten.”
Cargill signed with WWE in 2023 following a dominant run in AEW, where she went undefeated for over a year and held the TNA Knockouts Championship during a crossover period. She is married to NFL wide receiver Shedeur Sanders and has been open about the fact that wrestling is not her only professional pursuit, having expressed interest in acting and other ventures outside the ring.
