Chelsea Green is prioritizing her wardrobe over her medical instructions — and she knows it. The WWE star appeared out of her walking boot at WWE 2K Creator Fest and addressed the situation head-on in an interview with NYC Demon Diva at the event.
Green suffered a broken ankle on the February 6th episode of SmackDown during a triple threat match involving Tiffany Stratton and Lash Legend, and had been placed in a protective boot to aid her recovery. At Creator Fest, the boot was nowhere to be found — and Green’s reasoning was simple. “It’s okay. It’s chipped on the side here, but we’re out of the boot for the love of the outfit, for fashion. I’m going to get in trouble with medical, but it’s okay. We’re healing fast.”
While the decision to go bootless was purely aesthetic, Green indicated she isn’t concerned about the pace of her healing. The self-aware admission that WWE’s medical team may not be thrilled with her choice was delivered with characteristic humor, suggesting she’s fully aware of the optics — and didn’t mind one bit.
