Penta hasn’t given up on reuniting with his brother. Speaking to SA Live ahead of Monday Night Raw, the WWE Intercontinental Champion was asked about the possibility of a Lucha Bros reunion on WWE programming and kept the dream alive with a hopeful timeline.
“I hope soon,” Penta said. “You know, the Lucha Bros career was amazing like 20 years ago. Now my brother start working in different places like SmackDown and Penta on Raw. But I’m sure, and I know the people are sure, maybe when the Lucha Bros are getting together — it’s going to be a sight to see.”
Penta made his WWE debut last year and has established himself as one of Raw’s top stars, capturing the Intercontinental Championship in the process. Rey Fenix followed him into WWE but has been working on SmackDown, keeping the brothers on separate brands with no on-screen interaction yet. Given their history as one of the most celebrated tag teams in professional wrestling, a reunion has been one of the most anticipated moments for WWE fans since Fenix signed with the company.
