Charlotte Flair Says She Is As Big a Star as Any WWE Male

Charlotte Flair is not understating her place in the wrestling industry. Speaking with Bloomberg Talks, The Queen made one of the most direct statements of her career about her standing as a performer — and she backed it up with receipts.

“Do I think I’m as big a star as any male? Absolutely,” Flair said. Her comments were rooted in a broader reflection on the journey women’s wrestling has taken since she arrived as part of the Four Horsewomen group in 2015, when Give Divas a Chance trended for three days and WWE’s women’s division began receiving equal time and opportunities alongside the men.

Charlotte Flair on the Women’s Revolution and WrestleMania 35’s Legacy

Flair traced the arc from the Divas Revolution all the way to the landmark WrestleMania 35 main event, where she, Becky Lynch, and Ronda Rousey headlined the show at MetLife Stadium. “If you had asked someone, even maybe a year prior to that, would the women ever main event a show — they would have laughed,” she said. “But what we were able to create is that women are capable of selling merchandise, putting people in seats, being top of the card, getting equal opportunities in the ring.” Flair credited the generation of women who came before her for laying the groundwork while acknowledging that the Four Horsewomen — herself, Lynch, Rousey, and Sasha Banks — were the ones who turned that potential into mainstream reality. Her confidence in her own star power is not arrogance. It is the conclusion of a career that has consistently delivered at the highest level.
