Bianca Belair is working her way back. According to BodySlam+, the former WWE Women’s Champion has begun light training as she continues her recovery from the finger and knuckle injury she suffered at WrestleMania 41. While no exact return date has been confirmed, the report indicates she is looking to make her in-ring comeback sooner rather than later.
Belair was injured during her WrestleMania 41 match against IYO Sky and Rhea Ripley. The injury did not heal as expected, ultimately requiring surgery earlier this year. She made a brief non-wrestling appearance as a special guest referee at Evolution 2025 for the Jade Cargill vs. Naomi match, but has otherwise been largely absent from televised action since the injury.
Bianca Belair Was Originally Planned for WrestleMania 42 Before Her Injury Derailed Those Plans
The timing of Belair’s recovery is particularly notable given what was reportedly on the table. According to previous reports, the original plan was for Belair to challenge Jade Cargill for the WWE Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 42. With her not yet cleared when those plans needed to be finalized, WWE pivoted to booking Cargill against Rhea Ripley instead. The EST of WWE returning to the ring in the post-WrestleMania season could set up a significant program in the summer, potentially revisiting the championship picture she was originally scheduled to be part of in Las Vegas.
