Rhea Ripley has never lacked confidence — and even without a championship around her waist, she carries herself like the most dominant woman in WWE. Speaking on The Ebro Laura Rosenberg Show, Ripley addressed how she feels competing without a title and delivered a statement that perfectly encapsulates her current mentality heading into WrestleMania 42.
“I feel kind of naked without it, but at the same time I don’t mind not having a title because every time I walk through the curtain and walk onto the stage in front of everyone, I feel like a champion. I feel like I don’t need a title to represent how dominant I am in WWE,” Ripley said. She then made sure to leave no ambiguity about her WrestleMania intentions. “That being said, at WrestleMania, I will be getting a title.”
Rhea Ripley’s Championship Pedigree Makes Her One of WWE’s Most Decorated Female Stars
Ripley’s comfort without a championship is earned through one of the most decorated title runs in modern WWE history. She has held the WWE Women’s Championship, the NXT Women’s Championship, the NXT UK Women’s Championship, and the Women’s Tag Team Championships during her time with the company, accumulating a résumé that speaks for itself. Her WrestleMania 42 match against Jade Cargill for the WWE Women’s Championship is one of the most anticipated matches on the card, pitting two of the most physically imposing women in the company against each other on the grandest stage of them all. Ripley’s combination of confidence, championship pedigree, and stated intention to leave Las Vegas with gold makes her a compelling favourite heading into the April 18 showdown.
