Jade Cargill Says “Who in the Hell Is Going to Say No?” to Being Pushed to the Top of WWE

Jade Cargill has a simple response to fans who criticize how quickly she rose to the top of WWE — and it involves a question she doesn’t think anyone can honestly answer differently than she did. Speaking on The Joe Budden Podcast ahead of her Women’s Championship defense against Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 42, Cargill addressed the criticism of her rapid push with characteristic directness.

“I do what I’m told. Me being skyrocketed to the top — that’s a lot on my shoulders too. And people sit back and be like, ‘Oh, she got this.’ Like, who in the hell is going to say no? Who’s going to say no? Nobody. They’re going to be like, ‘Hell yeah, give it to me,'” Cargill said.

Jade Cargill Says Being Pushed to the Top of WWE Is Far From Easy Despite What Critics Assume

Cargill pushed back against the idea that reaching the top of WWE is a comfortable or pressure-free position. “That’s a lot on my shoulders because I have to go out there and perform, and it’s not a cakewalk that people think it is. I have to be able to have tough skin and deal with the critics and all the stuff that comes with it. People think it’s so easy to be at the top — I’m a human. I put on my pants just like everybody else. I just gotta go out there and do the damn thing. So I can care less — guess what, I’m getting paid.” She defends the WWE Women’s Championship against Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 42 on April 18 and 19 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas — a match that represents the biggest night of her championship reign so far.
