Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair have shared some of the most memorable matches in women’s wrestling history — and according to Lynch, the chapter between them is far from closed. Speaking on Cheap Heat, Lynch addressed the possibility of another WrestleMania showdown with her longtime rival and Four Horsewomen stablemate with characteristic enthusiasm.
“I don’t see why not,” Lynch said about a potential WrestleMania match against Flair. “I would say it’s always on the docket. Any time we come back to fight each other there is always interest and intrigue. People always want to see us beat the bejesus out of each other. Isn’t that a fun place to be? Because I love beating the bejesus out of her.”
Becky Lynch Says She Will Always Be Involved in Wrestling in Some Capacity
Lynch also addressed her long-term relationship with the industry, saying she will always be involved in wrestling in some form. The comments come as Lynch heads into WrestleMania 42 with one of the most significant matches of her current chapter — challenging AJ Lee for the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship in Las Vegas on April 18 and 19. Lynch and Flair were two-thirds of the first all-women’s WrestleMania main event in history at WrestleMania 35 alongside Ronda Rousey, and their rivalry has produced some of the most emotionally charged programming in the women’s division over the past decade. Lynch’s openness to revisiting that rivalry suggests there is still at least one more major chapter waiting to be written between the two.
