Cody Rhodes has entered his era of self-awareness around ring gear — and he’s specifically focused on his posterior. Speaking on The Nikki and Brie Show, the Undisputed WWE Champion was in a candid and entertaining mood when the topic of performers leaning into their physical appeal came up, crediting Rhea Ripley’s provocative presentation as the inspiration for his own evolution.
“Rhea Ripley’s cover that she does — it’s quite provocative. So now I think there’s some guys who are starting to go, cool, I’m going to lean into my thing. I started trying to draw attention to my butt a lot more. I’m like, hey, they’re doing it, I also wanna do it,” Rhodes said.
When asked if the change involved smaller trunks, Rhodes clarified that his approach is distinctly more formal. “Just the suits were carved out a little bit more, and then I started wearing the braces or the suspenders — which is a new bit, give it a little extra.” He framed the whole thing as a pragmatic business decision as much as a personal style choice. “Like Liv does the promo and then does the turn — what’s to stop us? It’s a fight at that merch stand. So you’re just trying to get your percentage up. Whatever it takes.” The comments offer a lighter side of Rhodes during what is otherwise one of the most intense stretches of his championship reign heading into WrestleMania 42.
