The Hulk Hogan Netflix Documentary Numbers Are In and They Tell a Very Interesting Story

The Hulk Hogan docuseries on Netflix has delivered strong opening week numbers, finishing fifth overall in the world on the streaming service based on Netflix’s weekly Tudum rankings. “Hulk Hogan: Real American” brought in 3 million global views and 12.3 million global hours viewed in its first week, landing in the top ten in ten countries worldwide and finishing fifth in the United States — just behind the most recent edition of WWE Raw.

Co-produced by WWE, the four-part docuseries was announced following Hogan’s passing last year, with Netflix confirming in December that the project would continue. The name and release date were revealed three weeks ago before the series launched to solid viewership figures.

By comparison, the Vince McMahon docuseries finished fourth globally after just four days on the service in September 2024, drawing 4.9 million views and 28.2 million total hours streamed. The Hogan series’ opening numbers are meaningful but trail the McMahon documentary’s immediate impact — a reflection of both the different subject matter and the different cultural moment each series arrived in. The series was a top ten show in ten countries worldwide and was also fifth in the US behind Raw, underscoring the continued mainstream appeal of WWE-adjacent content on the platform.
