Brock Lesnar returned to WWE on Monday’s Raw in Greensboro, North Carolina, destroying Oba Femi during his open challenge and immediately putting a match between the two on the table for Clash in Italy on May 31.
The segment ended with Paul Heyman approaching Raw General Manager Adam Pearce backstage. Pearce confronted Heyman about Lesnar’s appearance, noting that he had filed retirement paperwork on the Beast Incarnate. Heyman confirmed Lesnar did retire — but said he would return to the ring for one match: Oba Femi. Heyman then handed Pearce a contract Lesnar had already signed.
No official announcement has been made, but the segment sets up a potential Lesnar-Femi match at Clash in Italy, which takes place May 31 at the Inalpi Arena in Turin in what will be the first WWE Premium Live Event ever held in Italy.
Femi has been running an open challenge since WrestleMania 42, where he won the WWE Championship. Lesnar has not competed since losing to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 41.
