LA Knight’s absence from WWE Raw has been described as a “non-story” by people within WWE and others familiar with the situation, according to Fightful Select, with no injury, contract dispute, or pay-related issue believed to be behind his time away from television.
Fightful noted that creative shifted rapidly for several wrestlers coming out of WrestleMania 42, with multiple directions adjusted internally in a short period. Knight had appeared to be moving toward a program with Gunther on Raw before Gunther was moved to SmackDown to target Cody Rhodes after WrestleMania, leaving Knight’s creative direction without a clear path forward.
Fightful added they are continuing to gather more information on which talents specifically had plans changed after WrestleMania and what shifted behind the scenes. Knight remains one of WWE’s most popular stars.
