The Bella Twin Who Just Made A Case For Why Danhausen Is Filling A Gap WWE Has Been Missing For Years

The Bella Twins have opened up about working with Danhausen on WWE backstage segments, with Nikki Bella admitting he is nearly impossible to keep a straight face around.

Speaking on the Battleground Podcast, Nikki described the chemistry as instant.

“Oh yes — like, naturally, from the first time we did something with him, there’s just some people you work with where you have great chemistry. So with him, right off the bat, we did. And it was really funny because of the whole ‘Bella clones’ thing. But it is hard — I love it, though. You have to stay serious, and you’re just like.”

Brie explained how working with Danhausen requires a willingness to improvise.

“You kind of have to go with it. It’s not like it’s all perfectly planned. Really what he’s going to say. You just have an idea of what might happen, but you never know which way he’s going to go, so you kind of just lean into it.”

Nikki went further, pitching the Bella clones bit as something WWE should actually run with, while making a broader point about what Danhausen represents for the product.

“He gives me what I’ve been missing so much. A part of our product is those colorful characters. So he’s been such a blessing — showing that the fans are loving him. And it just shows we are missing those kinds of characters. Like if Santino Marella were to show up right now, we’d all be in heaven because he would just bring that moment of laughter. I think it would be a really good idea — like Brie needs to show up with clones at one point, or he does something and it’d be funny if two Bella twins just pop out.”
