MLW
Baron Corbin’s possible return to WWE has been internally speculated for several weeks, with one source inside the company describing the chatter as an unexpected development, according to Fightful Select. Dave Meltzer separately reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that a return has been heavily discussed, though he stopped short of confirming a deal is done.
Corbin left WWE in November 2024 when the company chose not to renew his contract after a 12-year run. Since then he has worked for MLW, GCW, Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling and CMLL under the name Bishop Dyer, and is one half of the MLW World Tag Team Championship alongside Donovan Dijak. He is not under contract with MLW, which allowed him to appear in a dark match before the January 21 episode of AEW Dynamite.
Sources within WWE noted Corbin has maintained a positive relationship with the company since his departure, and several people said at the time of his release they would not be surprised if he eventually returned. Meltzer has speculated his return could tie into a Danhausen SmackDown segment last week in which Danhausen teased a mysterious project. No deal has been confirmed and Donovan Dijak has not been discussed as part of any potential return.
