WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event Results: All Champions Retain, Becky Lynch DQs Herself Into A Title Defence

WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event aired live from the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, Indiana on May 23 — the first televised WWE event in Fort Wayne since 2014 — with all three champions retaining and Becky Lynch costing herself a title match in the process.

The show opened with Jade Cargill, Michin and B-Fab defeating Rhea Ripley, Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss in the six-woman tag. Cargill pinned Ripley — a direct preview of their WWE Women’s Championship match at Clash in Italy on May 31 in Turin.

Becky Lynch faced Sol Ruca in a non-title match and disqualified herself by shoving referee Jessika Carr into the path of Ruca’s Sol Snatcher. Lynch then attacked Ruca with multiple Manhandle Slams after the bell. Backstage, SmackDown GM Nick Aldis informed Lynch she would be defending the Women’s Intercontinental Championship against Ruca at Clash in Italy.

Penta retained the WWE Intercontinental Championship against Ethan Page in a competitive match that saw Page expose a turnbuckle and slam Penta into it, only for Penta to kick out and use the same exposed steel to hit a Canadian Destroyer before pinning Page.

Brie Bella and Paige retained the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships against the Irresistible Forces. Nia Jax nearly won it but a kick from Paige broke up the pinfall, and the champions used leverage to stun Jax and secure the victory.

The Vision retained the WWE World Tag Team Championships against The Street Profits after Logan Paul and Austin Theory used underhanded tactics. After the match Bron Breakker speared both Profits for a massive Vision statement to close the show.
