Orange Cassidy has called Mick Foley’s Double or Nothing debut incredible, saying Foley was watching as much of the show as possible and giving meaningful feedback to wrestlers backstage throughout the night.
Speaking to TMZ Inside the Ring, Cassidy described what it was like having Foley around.
“He was incredible. He watched as much of the show as he possibly could, and then he would give some incredible feedback to some of the people that were wrestling and stuff. And he is incredibly talented, and he has so much knowledge that — he’s just one of those other guys that I can’t wait to like, pick his brain and stuff.”
Asked about the possibility of Foley eventually returning to the ring in AEW, Cassidy didn’t rule it out.
“I mean, I don’t know. I didn’t really talk to him too much. From what I know about professional wrestling and professional wrestlers? There is always — the itch never goes away.”
Foley is expected to appear at all AEW pay-per-views and several television shows going forward. There is belief within AEW that Foley will wrestle one more match, per separate reports.
