Serrano is her real surname. She wrestled under the Serrano name on the independent circuit before signing with WWE in January 2021. The video features training footage alongside AEW’s Brian Cage and closes with the new name and a date — July 24, 2026 — which lines up with the end of her 90-day non-compete clause. She tagged WWE, AEW and TNA in the post.
The video also includes a moment where Serrano performs the same springboard missile dropkick that caused her knee injury on the May 19, 2025 episode of Raw, when she suffered a torn ACL, MCL and meniscus in a Money in the Bank qualifying match against Rhea Ripley and Kairi Sane.
In the video she spoke about what wrestling means to her.
“It’s hard, man. So I don’t think people understand how much I love wrestling. It’s what I live for, this is what I believe I was put on this Earth for, is to be in this ring to perform. This is it for me. This is all I’ve ever wanted to do. Wrestling was my escape. The number one thing in my life. And the good thing is now I get to show that, I get to express that in my own way. So I’m so happy that you guys get to be on this journey. To me this is just the beginning, this is a fresh start.”
Serrano had been cleared to return to in-ring action before WWE released her as part of the company’s post-WrestleMania 42 cuts. No landing spot has been confirmed.
