WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event confirmed several Clash in Italy developments and added one new match to the Turin card.
Becky Lynch disqualified herself against Sol Ruca, prompting SmackDown GM Nick Aldis — acting as GM for the night after consulting Raw GM Adam Pearce — to book Lynch vs. Ruca as an official Women’s Intercontinental Championship match at Clash in Italy on May 31. Lynch said she didn’t understand why she was being punished for an “accident.”
Jade Cargill pinned Rhea Ripley in the six-woman tag main event, providing direct momentum heading into their Women’s Championship match in Turin. Cargill now has a pinfall over the champion with the title match days away.
Bron Breakker speared both Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins after The Vision retained the World Tag Team Championships, raising the possibility that Breakker could be inserted into the tag title picture or Seth Rollins’ crosshairs heading into Clash in Italy and beyond.
The full Clash in Italy card as of Saturday night:
- Undisputed WWE Championship: Cody Rhodes defends against Gunther
- World Heavyweight Championship (Tribal Combat): Roman Reigns defends against Jacob Fatu
- WWE Women’s Championship: Rhea Ripley defends against Jade Cargill
- Brock Lesnar vs. Oba Femi
- WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship: Becky Lynch defends against Sol Ruca
