WWE Is Facing ‘Significant Visa Issues’ — Affected Wrestlers Not Yet Identified
WWE SmackDown go-home show tonight from Jacksonville features Rhea Ripley, Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss vs. Fatal Influence, Tiffany Stratton's first Women's US title defense, and more.
WWE is currently dealing with significant visa issues, per Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer, though which specific wrestlers are affected is not yet known.
The broader visa situation has affected multiple organisations across the United States. AAA faced major visa problems that initially prevented a venue announcement for Triplemania 34 Night One — since confirmed for Las Vegas on September 11. AEW has also been affected, with Komander and Beast Mortos currently unable to compete in the US. Both have been working CMLL events in Mexico, with Mortos and Sammy Guevara defending the ROH World Tag Team Championships at Arena Mexico on June 12 and Komander competing in nine CMLL matches since June 5.
