Raquel Rodriguez discussed her future in-ring plans during a session with TMZ Inside The Ring, specifically targeting a high-profile matchup for WrestleMania 42. While she acknowledged her previous history with Stephanie Vaquer, Rodriguez noted that she wants to allow Liv Morgan to handle that rivalry independently. Instead, Rodriguez has set her sights on Jade Cargill following several recent confrontations on Friday Night SmackDown.
“Jade has been very annoying to me these past couple of SmackDowns that we’ve attended. I feel like she’s been very disrespectful to the Judgment Day girlies. I feel like she’s just Jade. It’s, you know, It’s Jade being Jade. So I would love to hand her a good old-fashioned can of ass-whooping and, yeah, I’m able to on the WrestleMania stage too,” Rodriguez said.
The powerhouse performer detailed a physical vision for the potential contest, expressing a desire to utilize her signature strength against the former TBS Champion. Rodriguez noted that she is no longer interested in “playing nice” and wants to demonstrate her more vicious side on the biggest stage of the year.
“I would love that. I would love to just grab her by her hair and drag around the ring… yeah, I think I could do that,” Rodriguez added.
Before reaching the WrestleMania stage, Rodriguez must first navigate a triple threat qualifying match on the February 23 episode of Monday Night Raw against IYO SKY and Kairi Sane. Rodriguez expressed extreme confidence heading into the bout, stating that she intends to use her signature “Tejana Bomb” to secure a spot in the Elimination Chamber in Chicago.
“I possibly I want to manifest a double tonyhanna bomb on both of them. Ooh, like that’s going to be epic, and that might be how it happens. I don’t know… I feel like I can take a yo and Kyrie any day,” Rodriguez stated.
