The February 23 episode of WWE RAW took place at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. This was a significant night for the red brand television programming. A major superstar made his way back to the squared circle.
Brock Lesnar made his official return to the television broadcast this week. With the road to WrestleMania 42 accelerating, The Beast Incarnate was around to make his presence known to the locker room. He made his way out to the ring during the second hour of the show.
Prior to this specific segment, the company showed a vignette highlighting Oba Femi. This was interesting timing considering the recent history between the two heavyweights. They nearly threw down at the 2026 Royal Rumble premium live event in a memorable moment.
Lesnar ultimately eliminated Femi from the match to the shock of the WWE fans. Michael Cole specifically mentioned that interaction as Lesnar walked down the aisle. Paul Heyman stood in the ring and hyped up Lesnar as his official Advocate.
Heyman then gave the audience a brief history lesson about the biggest show of the year. He noted how the event used to feature two main attractions for the fans. Those attractions were the championship match and The Undertaker’s legendary undefeated streak.
He reminded the audience that Lesnar was the man who broke that famous streak in New Orleans. Because of that historic victory, that marquee attraction spot belongs to Lesnar now. Heyman then addressed the locker room by asking who will face Lesnar in Las Vegas.
He revealed that there is no prediction or spoiler regarding his upcoming opponent. He stated that not one single person on the roster was man enough to step up and take a physical beating. Heyman announced that Lesnar will make exactly five appearances on the road to the stadium show.
If any competitor steps up during those dates, then the match will be officially booked. Lesnar is scheduled for the March 16 show in San Antonio and the March 23 show in Boston. He will also appear on the March 30 show in New York City.
He will also be part of the April 6 episode in Houston and the April 13 show in Sacramento. WWE fans will have to watch closely to see who steps up to challenge the dominant heel. At this point in time, Femi seems like a very likely candidate for the position.
Only time will tell what Triple H and his creative team book for the show. There was talk of Lesnar’s return to the company for quite a while. Viewers were still shocked when his music finally hit the arena speakers.
Some staff were reportedly unhappy to see him back, but his return is now official. He recently went on to defeat John Cena at Wrestlepalooza. The match saw Lesnar decisively beat the legendary babyface.
Now that he is coming off a win against one of the greatest of all time, the audience has to wonder how he will be booked next. The current roster is focused on the upcoming Elimination Chamber premium live event. The broadcast is scheduled for Saturday, February 28, 2026, streaming live from the United Center in Chicago.
The card features CM Punk defending the World Heavyweight Championship against Finn Balor in his hometown. Furthermore, AJ Lee will challenge Becky Lynch for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship. The fallout from Chicago will dictate the final direction for the roster as they head to Allegiant Stadium for WrestleMania 42.
