AEW World Champion MJF will no longer be appearing at the upcoming Mystery Wrestling event in Edmonton, Alberta, on March 26. Evil Uno, the AEW star who owns and operates the independent promotion, announced that MJF had to withdraw due to an “unforeseen scheduling conflict.” Mystery Wrestling, a concept built around surprise competitors and unannounced match types, will be making its Edmonton debut at the Midway Music Hall.
While MJF’s cancellation is disappointing for fans hoping to see the traveling World Champion, Evil Uno noted that the unpredictable nature of the promotion softens the blow. As a replacement surprise, Uno confirmed that Japanese wrestling legend Taka Michinoku will compete at the event, marking his first match in Canada in over 25 years. Meanwhile, MJF remains focused on his AEW World Championship reign, with a high-stakes Texas Death Match against Hangman Page scheduled for AEW Revolution on March 15.
