The Elimination Chamber premium live event in Chicago proved to be a historic night for one specific household. CM Punk recently celebrated his and his wife’s championship title wins with a very memorable internet post. The wrestling couple dominated their respective matches at the United Center.
On Saturday, February 28, AJ Lee defeated Becky Lynch in a highly competitive bout. The victory allowed Lee to officially win the WWE Women’s Intercontinental title. The hometown crowd cheered loudly as the veteran superstar held the gold high above her head.
Shortly after that match, Punk stepped into the ring to defend his own prestigious prize. Punk successfully defeated Finn Balor of The Judgment Day to retain his World Heavyweight Championship. The dual victories cemented their status as the absolute top stars of the current roster.
Celebrating the couple’s premium live event win, Punk soon uploaded a bold photo on social media. The image was designed to be a playful celebration of their incredibly victorious night. It quickly grabbed the attention of fans and fellow wrestlers alike.
The image was taking a direct dig at Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch’s own title celebration from years ago. During that specific past era, Rollins had covered his lower region with the Universal title. Lynch had used two of her Women’s titles to strategically cover her top and lower regions.
Reflecting on that famous internet moment, Punk performed something very similar with his own family. He used his World Heavyweight title to cover his lower groin region in the photograph. Meanwhile, he used his wife’s Intercontinental title to cover his bare chest.
The humorous and provocative photo immediately went viral across all major digital platforms. Several current WWE stars could not resist commenting on the ridiculous display. Lee herself chimed in with a quick response to her husband’s public antic.
“He is my emergency contact,” Lee wrote.
The reigning Women’s World Champion also found the image incredibly amusing. She left a very blunt comment expressing her laughter.
“I’m f***in dead!” Rhea Ripley commented.
Performers from outside the promotion also enjoyed the lighthearted celebration. A current AEW roster member voiced his approval of the comedic tribute.
“Love this!” AEW’s Johnny TV wrote.
The fun social media moment provides a brief respite before the competitive pressure ramps back up. The champions must now focus entirely on the upcoming stadium event in the spring. Punk is officially scheduled to face Roman Reigns in the main event of WWE WrestleMania 42.
The two-night showcase will happen on April 18 and 19, 2026, at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. The event will also feature Liv Morgan challenging Stephanie Vaquer for the Women’s World Championship. The WWE fans are preparing for a massive weekend of action in the Nevada desert.
