Bayley is setting the record straight on Becky Lynch’s assertion that she spends $100 a month to text Mercedes Moné — and she’s addressing it head-on.
In an interview with TalkSPORT on March 1, 2026, Bayley responded to Lynch’s previous remark claiming she was shelling out money each month just to keep in touch with her long-time friend. This statement was made during a May 2025 segment on RAW Recap, where Lynch poked fun at Bayley’s relationship with Moné, alluding to Moné’s paid private messaging service. Lynch quipped:
“This isn’t show-friends, it’s show business. But Bayley is so confused about that, she’s probably paying a hundred dollars a month to her best friend just to text her.”
Now, Bayley is clarifying that this is far from the truth. When asked about the claim, she directly stated that she communicates with Mercedes for free. She emphasized their shared history, highlighting the significant milestones they achieved together in WWE. Bayley noted that their bond was forged through groundbreaking moments and years of collaboration.
“I text her for free… I have a private line that only a select few have access to.”
“Super premium. We’ve had it since we became the first-ever women’s tag team champions. We were also the first women to headline a WWE pay-per-view and have an Iron Man match, making history in Brooklyn, among other accomplishments. That line is specifically for those moments.”
