The “CEO” is officially preparing to reclaim her throne. Mercedes Moné has effectively announced her return to All Elite Wrestling following a multi-month hiatus from the promotion’s television broadcasts. Moné has been absent from the brand since losing her record-breaking 584-day TBS Championship reign to Willow Nightingale at the New Year’s Smash edition of Dynamite. While she teased a darker path in a Collision vignette this past January, she has spent the early months of 2026 collecting gold across the independent circuit.
During a recent appearance on Italian television’s “Wrestling Time,” Moné was asked directly about her status with Tony Khan’s promotion. She confirmed that her current international “Mone Madness Tour” is reaching its final stages. After stops in Mexico, Italy, Paris, London, and Poland, the tour is officially scheduled to conclude in Canada.
“I’m returning really, really soon. Right now, I am on my Mone Madness Tour all over Europe,” Moné stated. “First it started in Mexico, now here in Italy, next stop is Paris, then London, then Poland, then Winnipeg. After that, Mama is gonna return home.”
The timing of the Winnipeg mention has sent the wrestling world into a frenzy. Moné is officially scheduled to defend the WPW Women’s Championship at “Fight at the Museum” on March 31 in Winnipeg. Coincidentally, AEW is scheduled to be in the same city for a massive Dynamite taping the very next night, April 1, 2026. This has led many to believe that the Canada Life Centre will serve as the site for her formal “homecoming” ahead of the Dynasty pay-per-view in Vancouver.
The former champion’s physical belt collection has seen a slight reduction as she prepares for her return. Mercedes Moné is currently down to six physical championship titles: the Discovery Wrestling Scottish Women’s Championship, the PTW Women’s Championship in Poland, the Bodyslam Women’s Championship in Denmark, the WPW Women’s Championship in Canada, the APAC Women’s Championship in Malaysia, and her 2025 Owen Hart Foundation trophy. This is a significant drop from last year, when she famously held 13 belts simultaneously.
As the spring season approaches, the AEW women’s division is bracing for the CEO’s impact. With Thekla currently reigning as the Women’s World Champion and Kris Statlander seeking a two-out-of-three falls victory this Sunday at Revolution, Moné’s return adds a volatile element to the championship picture. The WWE fans and AEW audience alike are eager to see if she follows through on her promise to take “more than just titles” when she finally steps back into an AEW ring this April.
