Cathy Kelley gave fans a rare personal look at what went on behind the scenes during a particularly demanding stretch, revealing on Instagram that she quietly underwent an egg freezing retrieval procedure while continuing to fulfill her full backstage workload for WWE.
“Between egg freezing retrieval surgery, interrupted interviews, and a severe shortage of french toast sticks… it’s been a week!” Kelley wrote. Despite the physical demands of the medical procedure, she did not miss a single day of work, crediting both her care team and her friends for making that possible.

“Wouldn’t have survived it without a care team who somehow pulled off a schedule that didn’t take me out of a single day of work and truly incredible friends who kept me (semi) sane throughout,” she shared, also singling out a close friend who helped her through the emotional side of the experience, specifically the anesthesia-induced tears that followed the procedure.
Kelley’s candor about the experience offers a glimpse into how WWE personalities manage significant personal health decisions alongside the relentless pace of a major professional wrestling schedule. Egg freezing has become an increasingly common choice for women navigating demanding careers, and Kelley’s willingness to share her experience puts a human face on a topic that often goes undiscussed in public-facing entertainment roles.
