AEW Dynamite heads to the Roy Wilkins Auditorium in St. Paul, Minnesota tonight with one of the most stacked cards of the year. The main event rematch between Swerve Strickland and Kenny Omega carries massive stakes — Swerve’s number one contendership for the AEW World Championship is on the line, and in exchange, Kenny’s EVP position and all the power that comes with it is being wagered.
Their first meeting on the February 18 Dynamite ended with Swerve winning and putting Omega out of action with a brutal post-match attack. Omega made his surprise return at Revolution, intervening to stop Swerve from injuring Brody King with a cinder block. Now the score needs settling, and both men have everything to lose.
MJF Returns and Women’s World Title on the Line Also Tonight
AEW World Champion MJF returns to Dynamite for the first time since his Texas Death Match title defense over Hangman Adam Page at Revolution. With Page now permanently out of the world title picture, new challengers are circling — including the winner of tonight’s main event and Darby Allin, who has made his intentions toward the championship known.
Darby is also in action tonight against RUSH of LFI following last week’s coffin match victory over Gabe Kidd. The AEW Women’s World Championship is also on the line, with Thekla defending against Mina Shirakawa, who is riding momentum after defeating Marina Shafir in a No Holds Barred match last week. The Conglomeration — Orange Cassidy and Roderick Strong — also face The Dogs, David Finlay and Clark Connors, in a rematch following their Revolution trios loss. Dynamite airs tonight at 8 PM ET on TBS and streams on Max.
