Thunder Rosa has made it official. The former AEW Women’s World Champion has signed a dual contract with both AEW and CMLL, as announced at CMLL’s show on April 3. Rosa appeared at the event and confirmed the deal, stating in an article for RECORD that she will be working with CMLL for the rest of 2026.
The move was widely anticipated — Fightful Select had reported earlier in the day that the signing was expected, and Rosa herself had publicly expressed strong interest in joining CMLL during a recent interview. She now joins Hechicero, Claudio Castagnoli, Persephone, Mascara Dorada, and Mistico as performers holding dual contracts with both AEW and CMLL.

Rosa’s most recent AEW appearance came on the March 4 edition of Dynamite, where she challenged Thekla for the AEW Women’s World Championship in a losing effort. The dual contract arrangement will allow her to continue representing AEW while also building her profile within CMLL’s Mexican wrestling landscape — a natural fit given her lucha libre background and Mexican heritage. Her addition to CMLL’s roster further strengthens the cross-promotional relationship between AEW and one of Mexico’s most prestigious wrestling institutions.
