WWE President Nick Khan has firmly ruled out ever becoming an on-screen character in WWE — and he also shared a revealing endorsement of Bron Breakker during his appearance on The Bill Simmons Podcast ahead of WrestleMania 42. On the subject of appearing on camera in a character role, Khan was categorical.
“A character? Never. Never, ever, ever. I’m a behind-the-scenes guy. In terms of a character who’s also a real-life executive — never, ever going to happen,” Khan said. He explained the distinction between the media appearances he does as a publicly traded company executive versus the kind of on-screen creative involvement that would be out of the question for his role.
Nick Khan Says WWE Cannot Rush Bron Breakker and Is Letting Him Develop at His Own Pace
Khan was notably enthusiastic when the conversation turned to Bron Breakker, who has been absent from WWE television on the Road to WrestleMania 42. “I’m high on Bron. We cannot rush it, though. We have to sort of let him develop at his own pace. He’s an excellent athlete who obviously grew up in the wrestling business, but let him develop at his own pace, which we’re all on the same page about.” The endorsement from the WWE President aligns with reports that Breakker had been medically cleared before WrestleMania 42 but that WWE chose to hold off on his Seth Rollins match to allow for more television build time.
