Jade Cargill has revealed that one of her biggest goals for WrestleMania 42 week in Las Vegas has nothing to do with her title defense — it is finally getting to meet Steve Austin. Speaking during a Fox News interview, the WWE Women’s Champion shared a genuine enthusiasm for the Attitude Era that shaped her love of wrestling and explained why Austin in particular holds such special significance.
“I’m more like an Attitude Era fan. Stone Cold. I have to. I hope he is there because I want to meet him. He’s one of the people — other than Paul Heyman — when I first got here that I had to meet. And Stone Cold is the other person, so I’m very hopeful that he’s gonna be there at the Hall of Fame. I really wanna meet him. He was there last year, but I couldn’t — there were so many people crowding him,” Cargill said.
Jade Cargill Says She Wants to Build a Foundation in WWE Similar to What The Rock and John Cena Have Done
Cargill also reiterated her ambitions for the long-term legacy she wants to build in WWE, comparing her goals to the generational impact of The Rock and John Cena. “I really want to lay a thick foundation here that can’t be duplicated, so I can always come back and help the next generation like John Cena did or The Rock has done.” She defends the WWE Women’s Championship against Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 42 Night Two on April 19 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
