Alexa Bliss has addressed the fate of her beloved Dark Alexa character — and the answer carries genuine emotional weight. In a recent Cameo video recorded for a fan, Bliss explained that the darker version of herself that emerged through her alliance with the late Bray Wyatt has been deliberately set aside as an act of respect for Wyatt and his family.
“Now, about Dark Alexa. While I love that it meant something to you, it meant so much to me as well. That chapter is very special and very close tied with my time with Bray. Out of respect for him and the Wyatts, I like to keep that version of myself exactly where it is. For the time, it is retired and untouched,” Bliss said.
The Dark Alexa character was deeply intertwined with Wyatt’s creative vision and the pair’s on-screen relationship, making it a genuinely unique chapter in Bliss’s career. Following Wyatt’s passing in August 2023, Bliss gradually stepped away from the darker persona before her extended hiatus from WWE programming. She returned in January 2025 with a fresh character direction.
Bliss is currently partnered with Charlotte Flair in a tag team that challenged for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas — a run that has connected her with fans in a noticeably different way than any of her previous character iterations. The deliberate preservation of Dark Alexa as something separate and untouchable speaks to how personally significant that era remains to her.
