Nikki Cross has wasted no time in planning her next move following her WWE release on April 24, filing trademarks for two new names just days after being let go. On April 28, Cross filed applications with the United States Patent and Trademark Office for both “Nikki Storm” and “Best In The Galaxy” — moves that signal she is already preparing for a return to the ring under her own identity.
The “Nikki Storm” trademark covers printed comic books and graphic novels alongside the standard wrestling merchandise and entertainment services categories — shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, hats, bandanas, and socks — as well as live and televised professional wrestling appearances. The “Best In The Galaxy” trademark covers a similar range of merchandise and entertainment services without the comic book and graphic novel categories.
Nikki Storm was the ring name Cross used throughout her independent wrestling career before joining WWE in 2016, making the trademark filing a clear signal of intent to reclaim that identity for whatever comes next. Cross was part of the Wyatt Sicks faction alongside the entirety of which was released in WWE’s post-WrestleMania 42 roster cuts — a wave that also included Aleister Black, Zelina Vega, Kairi Sane, and others.
Former tag team partner Alexa Bliss reacted to Cross’s release with an emotional tribute. “Bliss cross forever. Thank you for all of the amazing times, fun car rides, laughs and for being Hendrix’s backstage bestie. Love you Nikki — can’t wait to see what’s next,” Bliss wrote.
