People within TNA have their own theory about where the Wyatt Sicks are headed following their WWE release — but Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select does not share that expectation. Speaking on Fightful’s The Hump, Sapp addressed speculation about the faction’s next destination after being released as part of WWE‘s post-WrestleMania 42 roster cuts on April 24.
“People I talk to in TNA seem to think that Wyatt Sicks would end up in AEW. They’re not going to AEW. I think they actually end up doing indie stuff together, TNA, MLW, and that,” Sapp said. The faction — composed of Uncle Howdy/Bo Dallas, Erick Rowan, Dexter Lumis, Joe Gacy, and Nikki Cross — were among 25 performers released by WWE in the same wave that also saw Aleister Black, the Motor City Machine Guns, Zelina Vega, Apollo Crews, and Andre Chase let go.
TNA Also Believes the Motor City Machine Guns Will Eventually Sign With AEW Following Their Release
The Wyatt Sicks speculation exists alongside a separate belief within TNA that the Motor City Machine Guns will eventually sign with AEW at some point following their release — a belief that carries more apparent credibility given that AEW had previously extended an offer to Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley in 2024 before WWE matched the deal and signed them instead. The Wyatt Sicks had been on WWE television since the summer of 2024 and finished up their feud with the MFTs on the go-home SmackDown before WrestleMania 42 in their final appearances with the company.
