The director of Hulk Hogan: Real American has confirmed there is more than enough unused material to produce additional episodes of the Netflix docuseries — but no continuation is currently planned. Bryan Storkel addressed the remaining footage on the Ham Radio Show on Friday, giving a candid assessment of what was left on the cutting room floor during the production of the four-part series.
“There’s definitely more that you could cover. I mean, there’s so many things that got cut out. But we decided on four parts and it’s four hours worth, and we just put in the best stuff or the stuff we could fit. I think there’s so much more though,” Storkel said. Despite the abundance of material, he made clear that no conversations about expanding the project are happening. “I mean, I think you can do more episodes, there would be an argument made for that. But there’s definitely no talk of that.”
Hulk Hogan: Real American is available to stream on Netflix, with the four episodes ranging in length from 46 minutes to 1 hour and 19 minutes — totaling just under four hours of content. The series finished fifth globally in its opening week on Netflix with 3 million views and 12.3 million total hours viewed. Co-produced by WWE, the docuseries was announced following Hogan’s passing last year and became one of the more discussed WWE-adjacent productions in recent memory despite arriving without plans for a continuation.
